Dr. Dean Edell, one of the first physician broadcasters in the nation, is the host of America's second most popular syndicated radio talk show, The Dr. Dean Edell Show. Dr. Dean is heard on more than 400 radio stations, and he it the anchor of Medical Minutes, a series of ten weekly radio medical reports. He is also the host of the daily 90-second Medical Report seen in 75 television markets. Dr. Edell is known for translating complicated medical information into concise, easy-to-understand reports and for tackling topics that are obscure, unusual and often controversial.

Dr. Edell never misses an opportunity to ridicule religion, esp. the Catholic Church and the Pope. He elevates science to a religion and man to a god. Arrogant, condescending and borish, he is a modern day Dr. Faustus. Won't listen again.

I used to listen all the time and really liked the show. Tonight I heard him swear by taking the Lord's name in vain and hit the off button on the radio and will not listen again.

THe WBAL version of the show DOES NOT work, and one other station stream source is not working. I think Edell blocks the online stream. Seems to be true of a few online shows.

Setting aside the comments from the rather opinionated right, the evils of condoms indeed, Dr Edel is the most informed Physician in the media. I don't really care about his politics, I do care about his information. Great show.

Even those with no interest in the field of medicine will find this show highly informative. His ability to transform technical medical terminology into useful information is very effective.
